About Me
I am currently studying photography at Montana State University - Bozeman. Along with photography, I do web design, graphic design, and print design - although I am still working towards building up a sufficient portfolio of that work.
I enjoy photographing from a documentary/commercial standpoint, although I will always be working on various fine art projects, as I think of them. I really love photographing with off camera light, and creating more stylized images. For me, aesthetic plays the primary role in my photographs, although the fine art oriented program here at MSU has helped me think about the conceptualism in my photographs as well. I am still exploring the balance between the two.
In the end, what matters to me most is making photographs that will be relevant or important today, as well as in the far future. I am interested to find out how photographs (made by members of my generation) will have influence in a society where images have already proliferated our lives. What will it take to make a dent in the (overwhelming), media oriented world we live in today? I will be working to find the answer to that as long as it takes.
